Spirit of 1914

Distraction are pleased to have been involved in a recent event commemorating the 100th anniversary of the “Last Day of Peace” before the outbreak of World War I.

The event, which took place at Hinchingbrooke House in Cambridgeshire, was a great success, with re-enactors transporting visitors back a century to evoke the spirit of a nation on the eve of war. Over 1,500 people attended the afternoon, taking in the sights and sounds of this historical epoch.

We were pleased to help promote the event via posters and postcards that evoked the ‘Spirit of 1914’. We invite you to take a look at the event through the footage and  artwork below.
