Waddington Airshow is one of the UK’s biggest shows, attracting 140,000 visitors over the show weekend.
The largest of all RAF air shows, Waddington Airshow approached us in 2010 in relation to redesigning and hosting their existing website. The brief for the new website was to communicate the speed and excitement of the show.
We produced an eye-catching web design which also incorporated a bespoke online ticketing solution and e-shop so that more sales could be directed through the website. We also created a mobile website and promotional printed graphics, working with existing brand guidelines that had been designed by the client’s previous agency to develop these into an online medium, including the main website, booking facility, mobile website, social media and e-marketing.
We had to work to non-negotiable deadlines because of the show’s prominence and promotion, and we were successful in this respect. The booking solution we developed managed to cope with 17,000+ visitors a day in peak periods.
