Development and implementation of two promotional campaigns to encourage those with developing substance misuse addiction, to seek help with Lincolnshire DART services.
The proposed marketing schedule should tackle how best to communicate DARTs key messages with both medium alcohol and medium drug users.
We looked to employ an approach that used snappy headlines with slightly unusual and thus immediately engaging art direction to draw the audience in. The use of dark, slightly sinister grading adds an element of visual tension and the copy speaks in a direct, straight and ‘to-the-point’ manner without being condescending and verbose. The art direction and copy are linked through a conceptual play on words which relate to both the effects the audience will be beginning to see impacting their lives, and to the ease of help available through dart by simply picking up the phone or going online.
The acid/smiley face concept uses a well know icon of recreational drug use and hedonism, with sharp, direct and clever copy which doesn’t speak down to the audience, but uses a turn of phrase and a play on words to deliver the message with a linguistic rhythm.
