Lincoln Design, Arts & Theatre

15/08/2014
Lincoln is fortunate to be home to a wide variety of venues for the arts. Recently I’ve been fortunate to have enjoyed finding out more about several of them through my work at Distraction and… just because I love art and theatre.
I think you’ll be as excited as I am about the upcoming Autumn/Winter 2014 programme of events from the Lincoln Performing Arts Centre down on the Brayford. We, here at Distraction have truly enjoyed realigning the brand for this venue and producing their programmes. Gives us a chance to have a sneaky look at the impressive, exciting and varied shows that are coming up this season. Take a look, I can guarantee that whatever your age or interest there’ll be something there for you to enjoy.
This isn’t the only theatre and arts venues we’ve been involved with designing for recently, make sure that you see what’s in store from the Terry O’Toole Theatre and LOV (Lincolnshire One Venues).
A few weeks ago at Lincoln’s Doddington Hall I also watched a truly superb production of Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing” by the Globe Theatre. Spending an evening sitting in the gardens of one of Lincoln’s best kept and best loved historic houses while being entertained by such high calibre actors was a real treat to say the least!
Continuing their programme of events, they now have a sculpture exhibition showcasing a brilliant selection of “over 300 pieces from over 70 national and international sculptors”. Looking forward to going to see that very soon.
We’ve also heard rumours of a 3D exhibition at the Usher, so as ever lots to see in Lincoln and the surrounding area.
In the meantime, be sure to pick up your Autumn/Winter programme from LPAC!
